Lesson 26 - Dawah to Non Muslims During The Month of Ramadan
Da’wah is a compulsory act for all Muslims. Da’wah in Islam means to invite someone towards Islam. All Muslims must do Dawah to Non Muslims During The Month of Ramadan. Today, we will look at different aspects of Da’wah. Allah calls us the best people for mankind. He gives us more honor, and honor comes with responsibility. It is our responsibility to give Da’wah to non-Muslims during the month of Ramadan.
Khaira Ummah
Allah calls us the Khaira Ummah. It means that we have to enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. If we don’t give Da’wah to non-Muslims during the month of Ramadan, we aren’t fit to be titled as Khaira Ummah.
One of the four criteria to enter Jannah is to invite people to Da’wah.
Best Strategy for Dawah to Non Muslims During The Month of Ramadan
The best strategy for Da’wah is to go to a non-Muslim and ask him about the doubts that he has about Islam. Dr. Zakir says that he clears the doubts of non-Muslims. It is the best strategy as clearing their doubts may not force them to become Muslim. Still, it will remove their unnecessary hate for Islam.
The Two Major Aspects of Da’wah
“Invite all to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching and argue with them and reason with them in the ways that are best and most gracious.” (Al Quran 16:125)
The two major aspects of Dawah to Non Muslims During The Month of Ramadan are:
Tawheed
Without Tawheed, your Da’wah is useless. Tawheed is the oneness of Allah (SWT). Whenever you approach a non-Muslim, tell him about Tawheed first. As Allah addresses the Ahl-e-Kitab,
“Come to common terms as between us and you.”
Which is the first term?
“That we worship none but Allah.” (3:64)
Risaalat
The second most important aspect of Da’wah to non-Muslims during the month of Ramadan is Risaalat. Risaalat is believing that Muhammad (PBUH) is the last messenger of Allah. To convince the non-Muslims, you can refer to the multiple mentions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in different religions. As mentioned in the Quran, Jesus Christ (PBUH) said to Bani Israel:
“I am sent from Allah (SWT) as a Messenger to the Bani Israel confirming the Law that came before me and giving glad Tidings of a messenger to come whose name shall be Ahmad.” (Al Quran 61:6)
Da’wah to Different Religions
For the Christians
You can always give Da’wah to Christians by using their own book, the bible. You can quote multiple references of Tawheed and Risaalat.
For the Hindus
Similarly, there are many mentions of worshipping one God in Hinduism. You can use these references to give Da’wah to Hindus.
Da’wah to Atheists
To give Da’wah to atheists, ask them about scientific discoveries such as the big-bang and the earth being spherical. Tell them that these things were mentioned in the Quran 1500 years ago that were discovered 50, 60, or even 100 years ago. Who wrote them? Indeed it is Allah (SWT)
Most Effective Means of Da’wah
The most effective means of Da’wah is through a satellite channel. However, print and other forms of media can always be used for Dawah to Non Muslims During The Month of Ramadan.
