Islam is the way of life for those who follow it. Let us go through some of the questions asked about the Islam religion.

Why are Muslims Divided Into Sects/ Different Schools of Thought?

Muslims should be united:

“Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger…” (Al Qur’an 4:59)

All Muslims must obey Allah and not divide.

It is Prohibited to make sects and divisions in Islam

“As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least: their affair is with Allah: He will, in the end, tell them the truth of all that they did.”

Al Qur’an 6:159

Our Prophet (PBUH) was a Muslim:

Our Prophet (PBUH) was a Muslim, just like others before him.

The Qur’an says to call yourselves a Muslim:

• If anyone asks you who you are, you should say I am a Muslim
• Prophet (PBUH) sent the following verse to non-Muslim kings

“Say you: “Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah’s Will).” Al Qur’an 3:64

Respect all the Great Scholars of Islam

 Muslims should respect all the great scholars, but when asked who they are, they should say that I am a Muslim.

Prophet (PBUH) predicted the emergence of seventy-three sects amongst Muslims:

“My Ummah (community) will be split up into seventy-three sects.”

Sunan Abu Dawood – Vol 5 Hadith 4596

If all Muslims adhere to the Qur’an and Sahih Hadith, they will be united

In Islam religion, Muslims can agree with the teachings of scholars, but they should accept only the teachings of the Quran and Hadith.

All religions teach their followers to do good deeds, then why follow only Islam?

The Major Difference Between Islam And Other Religions:

Islam religion not only teaches its followers to do good but also shows how to do it.

Example – Islam does not only prohibit robbery but also prescribes methods of eliminating robbery:

• Islam prescribes the method
• Islam prescribes zakaah, due to which there will be no poverty
• Cutting the hands of those who rob
• Results are achieved when Islamic Shariah is Implemented and the lessening of crimes

Example – Islam prohibits the molestation and rape of women:

• Islam prescribes the methods
• Hijab for men
• Hijab for women
• Hijab prevents molestation
• Capital punishment for rapists
• Results achieved with shariah

Islam has Practical Solutions for the Problems of Mankind:

Islam religious beliefs can be followed by any group of people, yet it achieves results

The vast difference between Islam and the actual practice of Muslims

Media Maligns Islam:

Media, in the hands of the westerners, mold the news and accuses Muslims

Black Sheep in Every Community:

There are indeed many dishonest people, too, but the media only portray the bad side.

Muslims Best as a Whole:

Muslims are the best in charity sobriety, and they don’t imbibe in alcohol.

Don’t Judge a Car By its Driver :

If you want to judge Islam, do so by its Quran and hadith.

Judge Islam by its Best Follower, i.e., Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):

If you want to look into Islam religion, do so by checking the life of the Prophet (PBUH)

Non-Muslims are Referred to as Kaafirs

Kaafir means one who rejects:

Since non-Muslims reject Islam, thus they are called kaafirs

If non-Muslims are hurt – they should accept Islam:

If non-Muslims feel abused by being called kaafir, they should accept Islam and be called Muslims
